GSS DIRECTORY MIGRATION TOOLKIT ENABLES CUSTOMER SELF-MIGRATION FROM LOTUS NOTES TO HOSTED EXCHANGE
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, June 11, 2009 – Global System Services Corporation (“GSS”), the leading messaging and collaboration systems integrator and migration tools software vendor, today announced Directory Migration Toolkit for Lotus Notes and Domino (DMT), a server and client directory migration and synchronization solution.
Without a strong directory migration solution, large and complex migrations, as well as a customer self-migration from obsolete on-premise messaging and collaboration solutions to hosted platforms is impossible.
Combined with GSS' NSF2PST or NSF2MBOX migration tools, DMT is a key enabler of customer self-migration from IBM Lotus Notes and Domino to hosted messaging and collaboration solutions such as Microsoft's Hosted Messaging and Collaboration (HMC) platform or standards-based ISP messaging and collaboration platforms such as Sun Java Communications Suite.
While traditional directory migration tools are monolithic and require constant human interaction, DMT is a powerful, flexible set of command line interface (CLI) tools designed for scripting and automation. DMT provides a scalable, flexible directory migration and synchronization solution supporting both simple email migrations and complex co-existence scenarios.
DMT supports migration and synchronization of directory information between IBM Lotus Domino Directory servers and Microsoft Active Directory, Sun Directory Server, along with other LDAP servers. DMT also provides Personal Address Book migration from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, the Sun Convergence Web 2.0 client, as well as other email clients.
DMT supports Personal Address Book migration from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Outlook 2003 and 2007, Entourage 2004 and 2008, and Mozilla Thunderbird, as well as to Sun Convergence. Through support of the Mozilla Thunderbird LDIF, Microsoft Outlook CSV, and vCard data formats, DMT supports Personal Address Book migration from Lotus Notes to many other email clients as well.
“Migrating and synchronizing directory information is one of the most complex aspects of moving from legacy on-premise messaging and collaboration solutions to hosted email," said Ron Herardian, Chief Systems Architect at GSS. "DMT is the key enabler for customer self-migration. Our hosted Exchange, Sun Comms Suite, and other service provider customers benefit from the flexibility and scalability of our robust and powerful directory migration solution."
DMT is appropriate for large enterprises and also for ISPs and telecom companies that need to enable customer self-migration from traditional on-premise IBM Lotus Notes and Domino systems to Microsoft HMC or Sun Comms Suite.
Customers can find out more about DMT and other migration tools by contacting GSS at +1 (650) 965-8669.
